Ashley Koch

Senior HR Associate

HR Specialist Ashley Koch handles all our benefits and makes sure we know about them, so she's got her hands full. However, she also does the same thing for our sister company, which makes her a champ of organization and getting stuff done.
What is your background?

I may not have been born in Texas, but I got here as soon as I could! I graduated from Texas State University (go Bobcats!) with every intention of becoming a teacher, but along the way I began working as a Human Resources Assistant to help pay for school. I fell in love with the work, switched gears, and I have been doing HR full time for almost 10 years.

What are your responsibilities at (un)Common Logic?

I work in the HR department. I am responsible for (un)Common Logic as well as our sister company 360Connect. My responsibilities range from benefits administration to creating and implementing trainings for the company. I like to help with anything and everything I can and between two locations I am always busy!

What’s your favorite thing about working at (un)Common Logic?

It’s a great work environment. The people you work with can make or break your experience at a company. This is a company with really awesome people! Everyone is so kind, welcoming, and willing to support each other in and out of work.

What’s the most challenging aspect of your job?

Having enough time to do everything. Supporting two companies is definitely a challenge but I love that it keeps me busy and constantly on my toes.

Anything big happening this year outside of work?

Not that I know of...

What makes Austin so special?

The culture. There is always something fun happening here. Live music, outdoor activities, festivals, we are close to a lot of microbreweries and wineries, we have great barbecue all over the place, and so much more.

What makes you (un)Common?

I collect owl stuff – I have about 15 different owl things in my tiny 1,000-square-ft apartment.

What’s the biggest change in marketing or technology that you think will occur by the end of 2018?

The robots will take over. Artificial Intelligence is on the rise. A partnership with technology will drive business.
