What is your background?
I graduated from Texas State University with a degree in Exercise Sport Science, but a Buzzfeed quiz told me I should’ve gone into something with computers so here I am.
What are your responsibilities at (un)Common Logic?
I help clients track and optimize their organic website traffic and performance.
What’s your favorite thing about working at (un)Common Logic?
My favorite thing about (un)Common Logic is all the crazy-smart people I work with and Daisy Wednesdays – my dog Daisy comes to work with me every Wednesday.
What’s the most challenging aspect of your job?
I think the most challenging aspect of the job is effectively communicating the importance of our suggestions to our clients for them to prioritize internally. Some of our recommendations can be fairly technical and it’s our job to make sure our clients understand the what and why so they can communicate that to their internal team.
Anything big happening this year outside of work?
2018 is the year of weddings – we have 5 this year! My best friend is getting married in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in August and we can’t wait to go. I think we’re also going to visit my brother who’s stationed overseas.
What makes Austin special?
Austin is special to me because it’s where I grew up – and yes, it did used to be weird! While the city is changing so rapidly, I don’t see myself living anywhere else except maybe in the mountains.
What makes you (un)Common?
I’m a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo.
What’s the biggest digital marketing change you think will occur by the end of 2018?
Everything is coming up secure! From Google’s non-secure Chrome warning to the GDPR, I think customer privacy and online security will continue to be a huge factor in how we approach digital marketing and make recommendations for our clients.
