SEM Analyst Christina Poulin has perhaps the most perfect degree for the (un)Common Logic team: a bachelor's in Marketing and Statistics. She manages to combine enthusiasm with maturity, plus the occasional comedic curveball.
What is your background?

While originally from Texas, I grew up overseas. I lived in Pakistan, Dubai, Colombia, Azerbaijan and Egypt and then I came back to the US for college, earning a degree in Marketing and Statistics.

What are your responsibilities at (un)Common Logic?

As an SEM Analyst I work across multiple accounts, analyzing and optimizing performance, as well as collaborating on account strategies and tests to continually work to improve performance.

What’s your favorite thing about working at (un)Common Logic?

The work at (un)Common Logic is ever-changing, meaning no two days are really the same and there are always new things to learn and new goals to meet.

What’s the most challenging aspect of your job?

One of the most challenging aspects is also one of the most interesting, which is keeping up with the latest technological changes and advances in the industry. There seem to be constant changes in the field of digital marketing and it is definitely something you have to work to keep up with.

Anything big happening this year outside of work?

I got to see the OKC Thunder play the Houston Rockets live during the last home game of the season in Houston.

What makes Austin special?

There is always something going on in Austin and I am always finding new restaurants to try.

What makes you (un)Common?

What makes me (un)Common is that I grew up overseas. My family moved overseas when I was 10 months old and I returned to the US for college, moving between five different countries in between that time.

What’s the biggest digital marketing change you think will occur by the end of 2018?

As voice search becomes more common, I am interested to see how it will impact the digital marketing word in the upcoming year.
