What is your background?
I was born and raised in Austin, Texas and still live here now. I attended St. Edward’s University for my first year of college, but ended up transferring to and graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, a minor in Business, and The Business Foundations Certificate from The McCombs School of Business. I worked in a variety of different roles including a Cancer Information and Resource Specialist for The American Cancer Society and a Customer Experience Associate for Fidelity Investments before joining (un)Common Logic.
What are your responsibilities at (un)Common Logic?
I am a Search Engine Marketing Analyst or SEM Analyst with a focus in Paid Search. I help optimize accounts to meet performance goals.
What’s your favorite thing about working at (un)Common Logic?
My favorite thing about working at (un)Common Logic is the “Team Environment.” Everyone is always collaborating and working together, sharing ideas, and learning from each other. (un)Common Logic has created a great environment to push yourself and challenge your brain.
What’s the most challenging aspect of your job?
The most challenging aspect of this job has been accepting that sometimes I may have a to do list 20 items long! But it has been fun improving my organizational and time management skills.
Anything big happening this year outside of work?
I got engaged this year! In January, my now-fiancé, Tyler Driskill, and I went to Jamaica for our 2-year anniversary and he surprised me with a private dinner on the beach and proposed to me overlooking the ocean. It was surreal! We’ve had fun planning our wedding this year so far, and can’t wait to tie the knot!
What makes Austin special?
I’ve lived here my whole life, and I’m still not tired of it! Austin in an incredible place, there is always something going on or something to do, like Pecan Street Festival, ACL, Blues on the Green, Unplugged at the Grove. But most importantly Austin has amazing fooooood! Taco Deli, Chuy’s, Franklin’s BBQ, Kerbey Lane, Torchy’s, Hopdoddy, Amy’s Ice Cream, for example.
What makes you (un)Common?
Probably how much I love reading! I have read hundreds of books – maybe a thousand – already. My favorites are the romance novels. That’s right. I said it. I know they’re cheesy but they’re always so great!
What’s the biggest digital marketing change you think will occur by the end of 2018?
I’m not sure what the biggest digital marketing change will be by the end of 2018 but I am excited to find out!
