Senior SEO Analyst

Dajin Kim brings creativity and problem-solving skills combined with practical, analytical, bottom-line thinking to her role as a Senior SEO Analyst.
What is your background?

I grew up in Plano, Texas (a suburb of Dallas) and went to undergrad at UT Austin. Entered college determined to be a biology major without really having a passion or reason for it. It was really just all that I thought existed. Made a 180 degree switch to advertising and fell in love with the creative side of marketing. Interned and worked full time in the ecommerce space and got introduced to the world of SEO – or as I like to call it, a beautiful mixture of creative and analytical thinking. It ended up encompassing my passion for creative problem solving while also allowing me to help businesses grow.

What are your responsibilities at (un)Common Logic?

At (un)Common logic, I work with clients to analyze and improve their SEO efforts. I like to say I help bridge the gap between what people are searching for and what the company has to offer.

What's your favorite thing about working at (un)Common Logic?

My favorite thing about (un)Common Logic is the people. When I say that I mean that every single person is so intelligent and all-around a great, easy person to work with. On the management side, they understand the value of people. Everything that I look for in a company – a balance of work and life, constantly wanting to grow, great communication and leadership, impact on the community around us, (un)Common Logic not only vocalizes, but also PROVES it. I love that the company values the people that work here first and foremost. They understand that the people are what make it an ultimate success.

What's the most challenging aspect of your job?

Change. The most challenging part at the moment is trying to adjust to the processes here while also sharpening my SEO skills. It’s a challenge to start a completely new job but I am grateful for amazing teammates and a great training crew that helps the transition become easy.

Anything big happening this year outside of work?

Really started getting into bouldering and outdoor climbing as well as tennis and weight lifting!

What makes you (un)Common?

4 things that make me uncommon: 1. I‘m REALLY into weight lifting, 2. I have a separate stomach for ice cream (seriously I could eat a buffet of food and still eat 4 ice cream bowls after), 3. Every time I go into Buc-ee's I get 2 large banana split dippin' dots and eat them all within 20 minutes, 4. I am unnaturally afraid of birds (especially ostriches).
